Hello! :) My name is Aarsha Mukherji. I'm a 15-year-old from Mumbai. For my school’s IB-MYP Personal Project, I composed a song, wrote original English lyrics for it and sang it in all 22 official languages of India as per the 8th Schedule of the Indian Constitution. I am extremely grateful to everyone who has helped in translating the lyrics and teaching me the languages over the last 4 months. I’ve tried my best to be authentic in my pronunciations, but please forgive me for any errors. Apart from my parents, there’s one person I couldn’t have done this without—Raja uncle (Raja Narayan Deb)—the fabulous music director who helped me learn so much about arrangement. This song is about my India, and what I want it to be. It is a beautiful country, but can we make it even more beautiful than it already is? Enjoy! :)

In this video you will see state and language. List of 28 states of India and their official languages. Check playlist for more general knowledge videos👇 🤍
It must be common knowledge by now that Hindi is not the national language of India. No language is the national language for that matter. Hindi and English, however, are official languages of the Union of India used to conduct administrative tasks related to the government. In addition to the official languages Hindi and English, the constitution recognizes 22 regional languages, which includes Hindi but not English, as scheduled languages. The number of native Hindi speakers is about 25% of the total Indian population; however, including dialects of Hindi termed as Hindi languages, the total is around 44% of Indians, mostly accounted from the states falling under the Hindi belt. This video shows how the number of speakers who use a language as their mother tongue has changed from 1961 to 2031. Everything after 2011 is a projection. Which language should you learn if you're travelling to India, Pakistan, and Nepal? In my opinion, Hindi, and here's why: it's the most spoken language in India, it's the third most spoken language in the world, and you can use it in Pakistan and read signs in Nepal with it! If you want to learn Hindi, I have a free guide up on my blog 🤍 Hindi, Urdu, and Nepali are three distinct languages spoken in South Asia. Hindi is one of the official languages of India and is spoken by over 500 million people worldwide. It is written in the Devanagari script and has many dialects, with Standard Hindi being the most widely used. Urdu is the national language of Pakistan and is also spoken in India and other South Asian countries. It is written in the Perso-Arabic script and has significant vocabulary and grammar overlap with Hindi. Nepali is the official language of Nepal and is also spoken in India and Bhutan. It is written in the Devanagari script and is closely related to Hindi, with many shared words and phrases. Despite their similarities, these three languages (Hindi, Urdu, and Nepali) have distinct characteristics and cultural significance, reflecting the diverse linguistic and cultural heritage of the region. I know I am going to get lot of hatred for this video. Still I decided to make it. I have nothing against Hindi. In fact, I am learning Hindi and I can speak a little now. It's just 'The One Language For All' scares me the most. I think the current government is very clear about promoting regional languages. Especially, they held "Kashi Tamil Sangamam" which is something no one dared to do before. And the Prime Minister himself took part in it. Wherever he goes, he makes sure he pays enough respect for that local culture. That's what I love the most about him. It's some vigorous fanatics, who keeps on saying "One Language For All" and shaming other people not speaking Hindi. We are different people and we are fine together!!! Finally, my heart goes out to all the people who lost their language! I can't even imagine that pain!!! If you find any value in this video, please share it with your friends and spread the word!
