From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: Liero is a computer game for DOS, first released by Finnish programmer Joosa Riekkinen in 1998. The game has been described as a real-time version of Worms. It has many weapons and sounds from its precursor, MoleZ. 'Liero' is Finnish for earthworm and is pronounced [lie.ro]. Later on, this game provided inspiration for the game Soldat.

My standard play of the best DOS game! Regular Liero gameplay on random map. It's Me vs. CUP (each of 15 lives). This is full of nostalgia and sentimental memories. Liero is my favourite game for MS-DOS. It was made by Finnish programmer Joosa Riekkinen in 1998.

This was my first time using Fraps and I'm decently impressed with the quality. However the file sizes are extremely large for even the shortest of videos (~2GB for this!) I had to put it through Windows Movie Maker to nerf the file size. That 'ping' you'll hear a few times is Windows Movie Maker telling me the conversion was finished(if you already didn't see that it was open) Anyway, Liero is a very entertaining DOS game, which is free, and only takes up 2MB of space. This version was 1.35b and can be found on the official site, Liero.be. That version does NOT need DOSbox to work and can play by opening the 'openliero' file. However, you NEED to exit the game by pressing the 'Exit to OS' option in the main menu. Pressing the X button at the top-right of the box won't close it.

(DOS game) Liero is like Worms but with players battling in realtime instead of turn-based. At the start of the game, each player chooses 5 weapons from a vast weapons array, 40 in total. The weapons range from simple pistols and shotguns to bazookas and the ever deadly cluster bombs (known in the game as the chiquita bomb) Players can dig through mud, jump and throw ninja ropes to navigate through the area. The players must seek each other out and destroy the opposing player. When a worm is hit, ridiculous amounts of blood spurts around. All weapons have infinite ammo, however they do need to be reloaded after emptying a clip. Reloading takes a few seconds, and during this time the player cannot fire. The more powerful a weapons is, the sooner it needs to be reloaded, sometimes after every single shot. During the game, players can pick up crates with weapon power-ups. When collected, the weapon power-up replaces whatever weapon is in the active weapon slot.

Bernardinho claimed that, while Serginho no longer had the agility that made him famous, he had experience and maturity to lead the team during a tournament that would certainly be rife with pressure on the Brazilian team, since they were playing on their country and coming from two losses on previous Olympics. Serginho was essential to motivate his team against France. They were losing, and on a break Serginho told his colleagues that, while they all had at least one more chance at going to the Olympics, he didn't – those would be his last Olympic Games. Greeetings! This is a review of one of my favourite games. Liero was made by Joosa Riekkinen (sorry I misspelled your name on that sheet, dude : ) ) back in 98 and it is absolutely amazing. The concept at the time was not completely original but Liero still constitutes the best execution of that concept to this day. Joosa doesn't want your money. You can get Liero at 🤍 (this is the version that needs DOSBox) OR 🤍 (this is the reworked version that looks and feels almost exactly the same but runs without any boxes). I hope you enjoy this. Please try out Liero if you haven't done so yet. Play more video games and subscribe. But also, like, read a book from time to time. Stay in intellectual shape.

This game is best described as realtime Worms. The graphics are great if you like pixel art since it's only played at a 320x200 VGA resolution. The gameplay however is what makes this game great! The game is best played with 2 people since the AI opponent is quite bad) It's split screen and both players use the keyboard simultaneously. Choose your favorite 5 out of 40 weapons to blow your enemy to tiny bits. Use your ninja rope to escape quickly or to launch a surprise attack. Switch weapons by collecting bonus pickups. The libero in volleyball is a specialized position that can only play in the back row.
