MSB Premier DAC - модульный цифро-аналоговый преобразователь на основе четырех гибридных мультибитных модулей с полностью балансной схемой. ЦАП оснащен выходным модулем отключаемой в меню гибридной регулировки громкости с шагом 1 дБ и балансными либо небалансными (на выбор) аналоговыми выходами (выходной импеданс 150 Ом) с гальванической развязкой. В базовой версии имеет 3 свободных слота для установки опциональных модулей. При наличии опционального модулей Renderer Input Module и Quad Rate DSD / MQA USB Input Module приобретает также функцию сетевого проигрывателя, который работает с протоколами UPnP и DLNA, принимая потоки PCM до 32 бит / 768 кГц и до DSD 4x с поддержкой MQA и ROON. Основанный на технологиях и решениях флагманской модели MSB Select DAC, Reference DAC представляет собой бескомпромиссное изделие с теми же возможностями и очень близкое по уровню качества, но более доступное по цене. В отличие от Select DAC Reference DAC использует не 8, а 4 гибридных мультибитных цифро-аналоговых модуля, в связи с чем лишь слегка проигрывает модели Select по отношению сигнал/шум. Модули обеспечивают преобразование PCM в разрешении, эквивалентном 28 бит, при тактовой частоте 384 кГц, цифровая фильтрация осуществляется в DSP Shark в 80-битном разрешении. Осуществляется также нативное преобразование потока DSD до 8х. Как и Select DAC, Reference DAC имеет цельнолитой из сплошной алюминиевой плиты фрезерованный корпус с ножками IsoRack, поглощающими механические вибрации. Блок питания выносной, Dual Power Base, выполнен в аналогичном корпусе. Возможно замена одного блока питания на два Mono Power Base.
